National Fraternal Order of Police Retirement Health Savings Plan

The National Fraternal Order of Police, in partnership with ICMA-RC, has adopted the new NFOP·RHS plan to serve its more than 321,000 police officer members. This easy-to-use plan will help police officers meet one of the most important considerations in retirement — health care expenses. The NFOP·RHS plan provides a tax-advantaged way to accumulate assets for retirement health care expenses. The advantages are many:

  • Contributions, investment gains, and use of funds for medical expenses in retirement are all tax-free
  • Funding options like payroll deductions and/or the use of accrued leave, make saving easy
  • A full array of investment choices from the Vantagepoint family of mutual funds
